Improve Memory By Self Hypnosis: First You Must Believe

When you think of hypnosis, you probably think of a stage act where the hypnotist makes willing participants cluck like a chicken or shiver when he tells them it’s getting cold in the room. However, did you know that you can improve your life by engaging in self hypnosis? That’s right.

Self hypnosis can help you overcome any blocks you may have mentally that are not allowing you to remember things the way you should. Of course you’ll need to learn how to use hypnosis on yourself. Once you have learned how to do it, you can work on things, such as working to improve memory by self hypnosis.

First, Close Your Eyes and Just Relax

If you want to begin to improve your memory with self-hypnosis, close your eyes and relax your body. Breathe deeply and rhythmically until your pulse slows down and you feel your body relax. If you’re having trouble relaxing, concentrate on your toes and follow yourself mentally all the way up your body to your head, telling yourself to relax each body part slowly and surely. As you do so, concentrate on each part until it is fully relaxed before you move on to the next. Once you have done this, take a deep breath once again and count backwards from 10.

While you do this, think about being on a staircase and whenever you count down a number, think about moving down the stairs step by step. When you are at the bottom, you should be in a trance that is deep enough to start working on your memory.

Commanding Yourself

Once you are in the trance, you can improve memory by self hypnosis by repeating commands to yourself. Tell yourself that you are going to improve your memory. Later you will find that you have no problems with remember information that you need.

When you are in your self-hypnotic trance and you begin to speak to yourself in this manner, in fact you are speaking to your subconscious. This is how hypnotists can get you to do things you normally wouldn’t do. He or she speaks to your subconscious mind. This gets your ego (and therefore any blockages as well) out of the way so that you can access what you need to and aren’t blocked. You can also tell yourself as part of your self-directive under hypnosis that you won’t have any mental blocks anymore and that they will dissolve.

This is a great way to improve your memory and it really works. But first you must believe that it works. That is the most important step in this entire process.

There are also video and audio tapes you can buy that will help you improve your memory by self hypnosis. They will give you step by step instructions to help you relax and then will command your subconscious to improve your memory. Again, however, you must believe that it will work if you want it to. In no time at all, as long as you do this again and again, you will begin to remember more than you ever imagined possible.
